Kay Griver, R.D., C.D.E.

Kay Griver has been involved in metabolic studies in the Center
for Metabolic Research which included numerous weight loss studies and studies of the nutritional aspects of diets for patients
with diabetes. Recently she was the Site Investigator for a study that looked at activity with different types of pedometers, weight loss, and nutritional education.

Kay graduated from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota with a degree in Foods and Nutrition. Her internship was completed at Peter Bent Brigham (now Brigham and Women’s) Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

She has been a Certified Diabetes Educator for the past 15 years and a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Diabetes Association, and the American Dietetic Association.

Leslie Miranda, R.D., C.D.E.

Leslie Miranda is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, and Certified Nutrition Support Clinician. She graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Dietetics, a Master’s degree in Nutrition, and completed her dietetic internship at the San Diego VA Medical Center. Leslie has been involved with research for several years, including several publications in 2010. She is a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
